Meet the Authors from our new series, Beyond the Cubicle

We're excited to announce the launch of our first series, Beyond The Cubicle, which will start to go on sale from September 2025 (join our mailing list to get an exclusive pre-order link).

This limited series of books is focused on how workplaces, work, and workplace culture as a whole is changing in the 21st century. Our books will explore a range of topics spanning Artificial Intelligence, burnout, resilience, leadership, measuring employee engagement, remote work, and more.

Here's a preview of the first of the authors in this series:

Cait Donovan

Cait, host of the award-winning FRIED: The Burnout Podcast, is writing about burnout as a holistic problem, drawing on her experience as a consultant on all aspects of burnout and burnout recovery. In her book, she'll be talking about how burnout emerges from a complex (but manageable) amalgamation of factors which can, and routinely do, span beyond work and into personal lives, family, and psychology.

Leanne Elliott

Leanne, co-host of the award-winning and chart-topping Truth, Lies and Work podcast, is writing about measuring employee engagement and workplace culture. Her book draws on her consultancy work, her research, and work as a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and very funny writer and broadcaster to talk about how we can effectively understand what our employees actually want (spoiler: it's not fruit and paintball).

Aoife O'Brien

Aoife is another big deal in the world of workplace culture. With 20 years' experience in the corporate world, and with a Master's in Organisational behaviour, she turns her critical eye on why some workplaces just don't seem to inculcate a sense of belonging. More crucially, in her forthcoming book, she writes about why and how some of the most successful ones do. As host of the outrageously popular Happier At Work podcast, Aoife is leading the charge in exploring how we build better leaders in businesses that thrive

Chiara Tagliaro

Chiara is an academic researcher, architect, and writer at the Politecnico di Milano. She holds a PhD in human-centred design and her research explores how buildings affect people and their lives. She maintains that a building should not only be designed based on the requirements of its end-users, but also constantly re-aligned over time with user needs, preferences, values and objectives. In her first public-facing book in English, she shares her insights and advice about creating work/life harmony in a remote and/or hybrid world.
